I read an article entitled Admirable Teaching Traits. Summary:

"Teacher quality is the most important factor in determining school quality" (Glenn). Every year administrators and personnel directors take on the very important responsibility of choosing professional teachers to put in the classroom. The different people that make these decisions have different qualities that they look at, but they can all agree that the most important factor is teacher quality. Teacher quality includes: enthusiasm, a willingness to make teaching and learning fun. Knowledge of content, being subscribe to magazines of the right age group, attending different seminars, and keeping up with all of the changes that take place in your field. Organization, efficient ways of keeping everything organized, making posters, routines, etc. Good attitude, show concern, care, and respect. Good communication skills is anther very important teacher quality, talking to the students and being able to communicate to the parents both the good and the bad of the students.

I found this article very interesting. If you would like to read this article further you can click on this link: Admirable Teacher Qualities!

How Rice Cookers Work

Rice Cooker Basics
Rice needs two things to evolve from a hard, little grain to big, fluffy morsels -- lots of water and lots of heat. For this reason, cooking rice happens in four phases:

1) Sitting in water
2) Boiling
3) Absorbing water (steaming)
4) Resting

Rice cookers automatically guide rice through these four stages. The appliance consists primarily of a main body, an inner cooking pan, an electric heating plate, a thermal-sensing device and some buttons.

Water and rice sit inside the cooking pan while it's inserted into the rice cooker's shell. The pan's weight depresses the thermal-sensing device, and the heating plate quickly brings the water to a boil. The sensing device is a small, spring-loaded thermometer that gauges the temperature of the pan's contents. It's set into the bottom of the rice cooker's main body.

The inner workings of a typical rice cooker

Simple rice cookers usually warm their contents by transferring heat from the heating plate to the cooking pan, and the type of metal used can improve that transfer. Some metals -- copper and aluminum for example -- are highly conductive. In other words, they transfer their heat easily. A wide range of materials can be used for the cooking pan, and each type may affect the overall time it takes to cook the food.

The process for cooking the rice is simple. Water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), and once it reaches a steady boil, it won't get hotter. As long as there is water in the pan, the temperature should be stable. Once the rice absorbs all the water in the pan, the temperature will start to rise. The rice cooker senses this change and will either switch off or switch to a warming cycle. At this point, the rice has finished cooking and entered the resting stage.

aRe YoU StreSS????

We all know how damaging stress can be to our health and well-being. Beat stress now and regain your health.

Are you feeling close to tears much of the time,
experiencing irrational thoughts, feeling low or depressed
sometimes or feeling manic some of the time?

If so, you are probably highly stressed.

Tips to reduce stress

Changing your outlook on life is the most effective stress reducer one can use. When it is possible to change your feeling about certain situations, stress automatically reduces. New understanding of the problem also makes it easier to deal with.

Dealing with stress involves learning how to relax and becoming more aware of yourself. One stress reducer that has been found to be helpful to many is to distance yourself from the event or situation by taking a walk or doing some enjoyable physical exercise. Careful planning also reduces stress before it starts. You need to recognize the limits of your time and ability. Taking time out for yourself is a way of reducing stress that many do not think of.

Knowing how to deal with stress is an everyday occurrence. Stress is a normal part of life.

* Take a walk * Take a shower
* Talk about the problem with a friend
* Exercise to relieve the stress
* Listen to relaxing music or a short hypnosis CD

dont make stress as difficult but try to solve problems carefully and enjoy your life..=)

AcciDeNt!!!!!!!!

Have you been involved in a car accident before? If you had been in one before, how bad was it? Were you injured? Were you aware on what happened or did you went black out?
Accidents are events that we try our best to avoid but no one knows when will it happen.

We can pray all we want to avoid the accidents but there is no guarantee that it will not happen. The question now is "Are you ready when this kind of things happen?"

Its best for us to know at least some tips to stay safe or take the best course of action when we come face to face in this situation.

How to stay safe in a car accident?
1st step is the very basic which is to "Stay Calm".The key here is not to panic. ur already shaken up due to the accident so u must control ur emotions foremost

2nd step. If no one is hurt and the car is drivable, drive off the roadway. The logic is to avoid other cars from crashing into you which will create more damage for you and others.

3rd step. If ur car cant be driven, on your emergency light to inform others who see them to slow down therefore minimizing risk of others joining in the party.

4th step.Look around and be aware of on coming and passing cars. When safe, get out of the car, stay out of the street and set out cones to warn others.

5th step.Exchange information with other drivers. The situation is very messed up, hence its best to gather information to put the pieces of puzzle together.

6th step. When all information were exchanged and cars can be driven, watch out for traffic and re-enter the roadway.Drive to the nearest police station to make a report.

7th step. This is not the time to blame or to find fault. Likewise, this is not the time to settle the accident.Do not accept payment on the spot for damages.

The most important is to get the contact, IC details and car plate registration number. Damages and payment can be settled with those info above.
