I read an article entitled Admirable Teaching Traits. Summary:

"Teacher quality is the most important factor in determining school quality" (Glenn). Every year administrators and personnel directors take on the very important responsibility of choosing professional teachers to put in the classroom. The different people that make these decisions have different qualities that they look at, but they can all agree that the most important factor is teacher quality. Teacher quality includes: enthusiasm, a willingness to make teaching and learning fun. Knowledge of content, being subscribe to magazines of the right age group, attending different seminars, and keeping up with all of the changes that take place in your field. Organization, efficient ways of keeping everything organized, making posters, routines, etc. Good attitude, show concern, care, and respect. Good communication skills is anther very important teacher quality, talking to the students and being able to communicate to the parents both the good and the bad of the students.

How Rice Cookers Work

Rice Cooker Basics
Rice needs two things to evolve from a hard, little grain to big, fluffy morsels -- lots of water and lots of heat. For this reason, cooking rice happens in four phases:

1) Sitting in water
2) Boiling
3) Absorbing water (steaming)
4) Resting

Rice cookers automatically guide rice through these four stages. The appliance consists primarily of a main body, an inner cooking pan, an electric heating plate, a thermal-sensing device and some buttons.

Water and rice sit inside the cooking pan while it's inserted into the rice cooker's shell. The pan's weight depresses the thermal-sensing device, and the heating plate quickly brings the water to a boil. The sensing device is a small, spring-loaded thermometer that gauges the temperature of the pan's contents. It's set into the bottom of the rice cooker's main body.

The inner workings of a typical rice cooker

Simple rice cookers usually warm their contents by transferring heat from the heating plate to the cooking pan, and the type of metal used can improve that transfer. Some metals -- copper and aluminum for example -- are highly conductive. In other words, they transfer their heat easily. A wide range of materials can be used for the cooking pan, and each type may affect the overall time it takes to cook the food.

The process for cooking the rice is simple. Water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), and once it reaches a steady boil, it won't get hotter. As long as there is water in the pan, the temperature should be stable. Once the rice absorbs all the water in the pan, the temperature will start to rise. The rice cooker senses this change and will either switch off or switch to a warming cycle. At this point, the rice has finished cooking and entered the resting stage.

aRe YoU StreSS????

We all know how damaging stress can be to our health and well-being. Beat stress now and regain your health.

Are you feeling close to tears much of the time,
experiencing irrational thoughts, feeling low or depressed
sometimes or feeling manic some of the time?

If so, you are probably highly stressed.

Tips to reduce stress

Changing your outlook on life is the most effective stress reducer one can use. When it is possible to change your feeling about certain situations, stress automatically reduces. New understanding of the problem also makes it easier to deal with.

Dealing with stress involves learning how to relax and becoming more aware of yourself. One stress reducer that has been found to be helpful to many is to distance yourself from the event or situation by taking a walk or doing some enjoyable physical exercise. Careful planning also reduces stress before it starts. You need to recognize the limits of your time and ability. Taking time out for yourself is a way of reducing stress that many do not think of.

Knowing how to deal with stress is an everyday occurrence. Stress is a normal part of life.

* Take a walk * Take a shower
* Talk about the problem with a friend
* Exercise to relieve the stress
* Listen to relaxing music or a short hypnosis CD

dont make stress as difficult but try to solve problems carefully and enjoy your life..=)

AcciDeNt!!!!!!!!

Have you been involved in a car accident before? If you had been in one before, how bad was it? Were you injured? Were you aware on what happened or did you went black out?
Accidents are events that we try our best to avoid but no one knows when will it happen.

We can pray all we want to avoid the accidents but there is no guarantee that it will not happen. The question now is "Are you ready when this kind of things happen?"

Its best for us to know at least some tips to stay safe or take the best course of action when we come face to face in this situation.

How to stay safe in a car accident?
1st step is the very basic which is to "Stay Calm".The key here is not to panic. ur already shaken up due to the accident so u must control ur emotions foremost

2nd step. If no one is hurt and the car is drivable, drive off the roadway. The logic is to avoid other cars from crashing into you which will create more damage for you and others.

3rd step. If ur car cant be driven, on your emergency light to inform others who see them to slow down therefore minimizing risk of others joining in the party.

4th step.Look around and be aware of on coming and passing cars. When safe, get out of the car, stay out of the street and set out cones to warn others.

5th step.Exchange information with other drivers. The situation is very messed up, hence its best to gather information to put the pieces of puzzle together.

6th step. When all information were exchanged and cars can be driven, watch out for traffic and re-enter the roadway.Drive to the nearest police station to make a report.

7th step. This is not the time to blame or to find fault. Likewise, this is not the time to settle the accident.Do not accept payment on the spot for damages.

The most important is to get the contact, IC details and car plate registration number. Damages and payment can be settled with those info above.

SeLAmAt ArI RayE..=))

BicYcLE >>>>

hey.....
how are you today??
hope everything ok n you will smile always today...=)

now i like to discuss about bicycle in UMP..
as one of the student, ofcoz i know about situation in UMP..
what i see everytime when i want go to the class,
i see many of students ump use bicycle as a transport compare to the motocycle and car..
i think this situation is quiet good compare than other university..

bicycle???
about two hundred and above,
you can get a good bicycle for your uses..
it will make your work more easy and save your time..
then,if we the see effect from bicycle to nature,
its zero.
its not use petrol...
but when you use it,
it will be like a exercise..
and make your body maintain...=)

<<<<<<>>>>>>

Easily the most important aspect of selecting a new bike is achieving the right fit. Forget the in's and out's of titanium vs. steel vs. aluminum, ignore the road tests and race wins. One thing matters more than anything else when you select your new bike-that it fits you!

When a cyclist fits her bike well, she rides more comfortably and efficiently. She rides with more power, and yet the effort comes easier to her. Her body is relaxed, her bike handling skills almost second nature.

True, setting up your ideal position on a bike takes some time, and can be difficult. Why? We cyclists hear conflicting advice, and conflicting formulas, on sizing and positioning. Variances in body sizes and proportions, in levels of fitness and flexibility, in technique and style, all affect a cyclist's best position on the bike.

Where do you learn how to fit yourself correctly on the bike? We've found useful sizing and positioning information in books by coaches and racers (Eddie Borysewicz's, Greg LeMond's, Davis Phinney and Connie Carpenter's). About once a year the major cycling magazines publish articles on sizing and bike fit, which are also often available at their websites. Commercial sizing systems such as the Fit Kit, BioRacer and Serotta's Size-Cycle can be very helpful.

Truthfully, though, the best resource you have is your own experience, especially when teamed with feedback from a coach or knowledgeable cycling friend, or video or mirror analysis. Drawing on your expertise, and ours, together we can set you up on a bike that feels like a natural extension of your body, and invites you out to ride for hours at a time!

Cristiano Ronaldo

Early career
Ronaldo's favourite boyhood team was SL Benfica. At the age of eight, he played for amateur team C.F. Andorinha, where his father was the kit man. In 1995, Ronaldo signed with local club CD Nacional after city rival CS Marítimo missed a crucial meeting with Rui Santos, Ronaldo's manager at Andorinha.[citation needed] After a title-winning campaign at Nacional, Ronaldo went on a three-day trial with Sporting Portugal, who subsequently signed him for an undisclosed sum.[5]
Manchester United
Ronaldo became Manchester United's first-ever Portuguese player when he signed for £12.24 million after the 2002-03 season.[10] He requested the number 28 (his number at Sporting), as he did not want the pressure of living up to the expectation linked to the number 7 shirt, which had previously been worn by team legends such as George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, and David Beckham. "After I joined, the manager asked me what number I'd like. I said 28. But Ferguson said 'No, you're going to have No. 7,' and the famous shirt was an extra source of motivation. I was forced to live up to such an honour."[11]

Ronaldo playing for Manchester United
Ronaldo made his team debut as a 60th-minute substitute in a 4-0 home victory over Bolton Wanderers, and scored United's thousandth Premier League goal on 29 October 2005 in a 4-1 loss to Middlesbrough He scored ten goals in all competitions, and fans voted him to consecutive FIFPro Special Young Player of the Year awards in 2005 and 2006, while he ranked 20th in the 2005 FIFA Player of the Year standings.
Despite the World Cup incident with club teammate Wayne Rooney, Manchester United fans chanted "There's only one Ronaldo"[citation needed] during a 5-1 win over Fulham F.C., Ronaldo's first match after the tournament. He received back-to-back Barclays Player of the Month honors in November and December, becoming only the third player in Premier League history to do so after Dennis Bergkamp in 1997 and Robbie Fowler in 1996.[12][13] He scored his fiftieth career Manchester United goal against city rivals Manchester City F.C. as United claimed their first Premier League title in four years.
Despite rumours circulating in March 2007 that Real Madrid were willing to pay an unprecedented €80 million (£54 million) for Ronaldo,[14] he signed a five-year, £120,000-a-week extension with United on 13 April, making him the highest-paid player in team history.[15][16]
Ronaldo was involved in several diving incidents during the 2006-07 campaign. He was criticised by manager Gareth Southgate for diving in a December 2006 match against Middlesbrough.[17] On 4 February 2007, Ronaldo was again accused of diving in a match against Tottenham Hotspur when he won a penalty kick despite little contact from Tottenham winger Steed Malbranque.[18] Despite the controversies, Ronaldo nonetheless amassed a host of personal awards for the season. He won the PFA Players' Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year awards, joining Andy Gray (in 1977) as the only players to receive this honor.[19] In April, he completed the treble by winning the PFA Fans' Player of the Year. Ronaldo was also one of seven Manchester United players named in the 2006-07 PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
Ronaldo's 2007-08 began with a red card for an alleged headbutt of Portsmouth F.C. player Richard Hughes during United's second match of the season, for which he was punished with a three-match ban.[20] Ronaldo said he had "learned a lot" from the experience and would not let players "provoke" him in the future.[21] After scoring the only goal in a Champions League road match against Sporting Lisbon, Ronaldo also scored the injury-time winner in the return fixture as Manchester United topped their CL group.[22]
He finished as the runner-up to Kaká for the 2007 Ballon D'or,[23] and was third in the running for the FIFA World Player of the Year award, behind Kaká and Lionel Messi.[24]
Ronaldo scored his first hat trick for Manchester United in a 6-0 win against Newcastle United at Old Trafford on 12 January 2008, bringing Manchester United up to the top of the Premier League table.[25] He scored his twenty-third league goal of the season in a 2-0 win against Reading, equaling his entire total for the 2006-07 season.[26] During a 1-1 Champions League knockout-round draw against Olympique Lyonnais on 20 February, an unidentified Lyon supporter continuously aimed a green laser at Ronaldo and United teammate Nani, prompting an investigation by UEFA.[27] One month later, Lyon were fined CHF5,000 (£2,427) for the incident.[28]
On 19 March 2008, Ronaldo captained the team for the first time in a home win over Bolton, even scoring both goals in the 2-0 victory.[29] The first of the goals was his 33rd of the campaign, which set a new club single-season scoring record by a midfielder and thus topped George Best's forty-year-old total of 32 goals in the 1967-68 season.[30] Ronaldo scored another brace in a 4-0 win over Aston Villa on 29 March, which at the time gave him 35 goals in 37 domestic and European matches as both a starter and substitute. Ronaldo's torrid scoring streak was rewarded with his becoming the first winger to win the 2007-08 European Golden Shoe, finishing eight points ahead of RCD Mallorca's Dani Güiza.[31]
In the 2007-08 Champions League final on 21 May against league rivals Chelsea F.C., Ronaldo scored the opening goal after 26 minutes, which was negated by a Chelsea equalizer in the 45th minute as the match ended 1-1 after extra time. His misfire in the penalty shoot-out put Chelsea in position to win the trophy, but John Terry shot wide right after slipping on the pitch surface, and Manchester United emerged victorious 6-5 on penalties. Ronaldo was named the UEFA Fans' Man of the Match,[32] and wrapped up the campaign with a career-high 42 goals in all competitions, falling just four short of Denis Law's team-record mark of 46 in the 1963–64 season.
Ronaldo underwent ankle surgery in Amsterdam on 7 July, and is expected to be sidelined after the start of the 2008-09 Premier League season.[33]
On 5 June 2008, Sky Sports reported that Ronaldo had expressed an interest in moving to Real Madrid if they offered him the same amount of money the team had allegedly promised him earlier in the year.[34] Manchester United filed a tampering complaint with FIFA on 9 June over Madrid's alleged pursuit of Ronaldo, but FIFA declined to take any action.[35][36] Speculation that a transfer would happen continued until 6 August, when Ronaldo confirmed that he would stay at Manchester for at least another year.[37]

comment:

I'm one of the fan Manchester United. There are so many good player in that team. So,that's why Manchester United win Champion League.. The players that i like are Rooney,Ferdinand, Van Der Sar, Vidic, Tevez, Gigs and the most one is Cristiano Ronaldo. He start plays football from amateur, not come as profesional. After his hardworking, he get the result which is become one of the best player in the world. I like see him plays football, his skill and so on. Without hardworking, we cannot get what we want in our life.
